Minimum Requirements

  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills
  • Valid Code B driver’s licence

Experience

  • Proven experience in a warehouse environment
  • Experience in receiving, distributing, and managing stock

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver stock to hospital departments and local clinics
  • Load and offload goods and supplies
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure safekeeping of stock
  • Keep the warehouse clean, orderly, and functional
  • Assist with asset management and support the transit clerk when needed

Competencies and Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and reliability.
  • Willingness to work after hours, weekends, and public holidays

Job Summary

The Department of Health is offering an opportunity for a capable and experienced Light Duty Vehicle Driver to join the Drakenstein Sub-district team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in transporting goods, staff, and equipment as needed across the region.

Minimum Requirements

  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills
  • Valid Code B or EB driver’s licence
  • Valid Public Driving Permit (PDP)
  • Physically fit for lifting and loading items
  • Willingness to work overtime and perform standby duties

Experience

  • Relevant driving experience involving the transport of people and goods

Key Responsibilities

  • Transport official personnel, packages, post, and medical supplies
